Co-Op

Jen and I went to the Linden Hills Co-Op this afternoon.  We were supporting a local non-profit, how much more expensive could it be?  Yes, all their food is organic, but still.  Turns out it can be a lot more expensive.  The final cost came up to $126 for three meals worth of food that probably would have cost $50 at Target.  To compound the higher price, we decided to purchase a membership.  We were both reluctant and should have listened to our instincts.  Another $80 later, we were members.

We then went to Lund's and found items for less than half the price that they were at Linden-Hills!  Lund's is cheaper than something?

Well, it turns out that we can cancel our membership at anytime and get a full refund, and Target is local, right?  However, there is a bright side.  Linden-Hills sells spices by the pound and does have an excellent variety of organic make-up, Jen likes this, so we will not stop going there.  We will simply limit our purchases to spices and make-up.
